The educator behind Maths Monkey — making Grade 8 to 12 mathematics easy and fun for South African students since 2020.
The Story
Maths Monkey started in 2020 during COVID as a way to support Lunelle's own students remotely. What began with 30 subscribers has grown to a community of over 72,000 students — proof that when maths is taught simply and clearly, it clicks.
The focus is on Grade 12 Mathematical Literacy and Grade 8–12 Pure Mathematics, with content posted every Tuesday and Thursday. MathLit content follows the topics recommended by the Western Cape Education Department, so it stays relevant to what students are actually covering in class each term.
For pure maths, the focus lands on the areas most students struggle with — algebra, trigonometry and functions — using methods that work no matter how the question is asked.

A Maths Monkey tutor can come to your school and run a live revision or teaching session — working through the problems your students are actually struggling with.
